Have been in Jaco around 10 times and was there last week. Never had a problem and I love it. I walk streets at night..8-11 basically and nothing, however the hooker girls are there, even in the day time..I dont care. My wife doesnt like Jaco as much as I do. She is Colombiana and I get along just fine without Spanish. So many options up and down the coast too!! Thanks for the video.

Another fun talk. Glad I got to see Jaco in 2010. So much different now and the beach is awesome.

This is so exciting! I visited Costa Rica a few years ago & I felled in love with the country & the beautiful people of Costa Rica, so much so that I’m planning on retiring there within 2 years or less! I’ve been doing quite a bit of research & I know that I definitely have to go back to see which place will suit me & my lifestyle best . I’m a diver so naturally I love the beach & the ocean however, I would also love to be integrated into the Tico way of life & most importantly to be of service & contribute the community. I can’t wait to start listening to your podcast! Tyvm!😊

With the current US administration flooding the market with money, it caused a huge increase in inflation and obviously devalued the US dollar, plain and simple. If the US government was to stop handing out money and tighten their belt, there would be less US money circulating in other countries and you would see an increase in it's value.

I'm curious to know where you are seeing an exchange rate of $1 to 502 C? I see today a rate of about 530C on wise, XE, and other sites. The 1 year range was 544 in August and 500 in April. This podcast is dated Aug 13.

Agreed with other commenters saying that Costa Rica may be expensive, but compared to most places in the US -- especially for produce-- the quality to price ratio is FAR Better. I am also very biased because I live in one of the most expensive places: New York City. We are coming down to try living in Costa Rica (in the Playa Hermosa area!!) at the end of August!

I have a question. Are there long term car rentals available? Or is there a secure place to leave a vehicle if you purchase one? Due to grandchildren’s birthdays here in the states we will only be in Costa Rica for maybe six-nine months out of the year. Trying to figure the whole needing a car thing out.

Automercado is the equivalent (in California) of Gelsons, Whole Foods and Pavilions wrapped up in one🤣 one must PAY for convenience....

Costa Rica may be expensive but its still way cheaper than Canada. We eat way better for 2/3 the cost! We are in San Mateo and do the Santa Ana Pricesmart for meat, cheese and things we cant get at maxi pali. We have a truck that comes right to our door for all fruits and vegetables. Dairy is crazy expensive here so we buy raw milk(a federal crime in Canada) and make our own yogurt and mozzarella. We are lucky enough to have a lot of fruit trees so that helps also.

Are there stores in Grecia that sell organic produce and organic foods?

is it my monitor or is there some filter that "darkens" the stream? the video is really dark! as if it was done with a filter?

Is it possible to get your groceries delivered to your house there?

Do you pay a yearly membership fee for Price Mart like we do for Costco and Sams in the states?

Is there somewhere I could buy frozen microwave meals? I am single and don't want to cook for one person.😮

I remember your power outage last March. My four days in Uvita had several power and water outages. The property where I stayed supplied some water to Uvita so I had it. Noticed a lot of people cooked with gas in that area. Enjoyed yalls talk.

And that story about wiping out your money it' happened to somebody I know just about 1 month ago, they wanted to deposit 10 million colones to buy a property ¢80.000,000 she gave them the IBAM number, and they tried to clean out her account. But i did not work. Because there was no money in the account.😂😂😂 So please be careful.
